THE TRUE NATURE OF HUMAN GREED AND SHELLFISHNESS SHOWS IN TIMES OF CRISIS

I’m sure all of us have either witnessed or saw few images encapsulate more succinctly or poignantly the situation facing us all at this very critical time

Pictures of supermarket shoppers filling their shopping carts to overflowing with large packets of toilet paper is labelled ‘panic buying’. Brought on by the apparently imminent spread of COVID-19, these rabid consumers seem to be concerned that the greatest risk from the demise of civilization as we know it, is not being able to wipe their bottoms with their luxury brand. But why is this called ‘panic’?

I’ve observed the elderly (seniors) stand in the middle of a supermarket aisle surrounded by empty shelves, their gaze focused on the scrap of paper — presumably their shopping list — in their hands.

This is not Venezuela, not Russia during the Cold War, not a corruption-ravaged Zimbabwe not any third world country.

This is Canada, arguably the most stable place on Earth.

And the bare shelves are not the result of food shortages or some sort of catastrophic failure in supply chains; they are the result of the cruel selfishness of those who, in times of crisis, have no regard for the needs of the vulnerable or elderly but care only about themselves.

Over the past few days, scenes like this — and worse — have been repeated up and down this country and many other so called “civilized” first world countries i.e. the UK, France, Australia, the U.S., Canada, Germany etc.

People queuing around the block at Costco and footage of crowds fighting and falling over each other to get into a supermarket or grocery store, while other scenes show people slapping and hitting each other over rolls of toilet paper.

All of them shocking, all deeply distasteful, all liable to make one question the very nature and sanity — of the human race.

But there was something about the quiet desolation of those elderly people gazing at their shopping list that brings into stark relief the way coronavirus is ripping through not just our immune systems, our National Health System and our economy, but also our social fabric.

It shows how, somewhere along the line, we ceased to be humans beings and a country that cares about the old, the sick and the vulnerable, and became a nation of sharp-elbowed, nasty and thoroughly inconsiderate “I’m Alright Jack”.

Of course, there are also many stories of individuals stepping up to help others, of communities coming together to weather this storm.

Indeed, I have every confidence that once the acute phase of this crisis has passed, once the reality of the situation has been processed, people will calm down and rally to each other’s sides.

But that does not change the fact that the viciousness of the panic buying, the sheer greed that people have displayed in taking far, far more than they need without giving a second thought to those less nimble, less speedy, less well-off, has been striking.

I’ve seen shops and stores full of elderly people looking for groceries even though the shelves were empty — ransacked by the so-called ‘shellfish and inconsiderate’.  Already far more vulnerable to the effects of the virus than younger people, the older generation are also much more likely to be living on their own and surviving on their pensions.

They don’t tend to have a freezer full of stuff, and they can’t always afford to buy in bulk. But even if they could, it’s not really in their nature to take what they don’t need.

And this, I think, is really the crux of the matter. What we are seeing here is a really deep generational divide.

Between those who grew up in the shadow of two World Wars and those like myself who are survivors of the 1971 genocide and of deadly diseases such as typhoid, malaria, cholera, measles, small pox, chicken pox and plague, and who know true hardship and personal sacrifice; and those who have never known anything else but relative prosperity, people for whom the prospect of having to do without simply does not compute, whose sense of entitlement blinds them to all but their own needs.

Between those who, like my parents and individuals from my immediate generation never waste a single morsel of food or buy more than we know we’re going to need; and those who are so spoilt for choice that they’ll chuck out stuff that’s half a day out-of-date, or reject a tin with a dent in it.

They want it all, and they want it now — because they’ve never known anything else.

They’re that child at a kid’s party who grabs all the sweets at once, even though they can’t possibly eat all of them, and if they did it would make them horribly sick.

Spoilt, selfish, ill-mannered and probably deserving of a good smack (were such things still allowed these days).

It is often wondered of today’s younger generation whether, if asked to make a similar sacrifice to the one made by their predecessors in defence of the country from Nazi Germany, they would be equal to the task.

I have always felt that the answer to that question would be yes; that when push came to shove, they would set aside their “me-first” mentality and step up to the plate.

But what has been so depressing about the recent stockpiling, for me at least, is how that does not seem to be the case.

Scenes of the healthy and able-bodied riding roughshod over the old and frail make me question whether we have what it takes to face this crisis.

The irony is that a lot of the surplus food bought by selfish panic buying will probably be dumped when this serious crisis is all over!

ISLAM AND WESTERN EDUCATION

Western education has done a great disservice–of leftist design–by indoctrinating our children with the falsehood all “religions” are equal…that we are to be “tolerant/inclusive” of ALL cultures…and that it’s OUR bigotry (and our country’s actions elsewhere in the world) that causes the trouble.
Western news media and entertainment–also under leftist control–perpetuate the fable for adults. They’ve been quite successful in triggering a default/reflex “You’re a racist!” or “You are spreading Islamophobia”  or “You are Islamophobic” response to anyone who “dares” to tell the truth about Islam.  The denials will continue until most people in the West understand the ESSENTIAL TEACHING of Islam (Al Walaa wal Baraa) which MANDATES that Muslims HATE the dirty kafirs ‘FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH’.  This hatred directed by Muslims against disbelieving KAFIRS is not optional, but a REQUIRED ACTION if a Muslim wishes to go to the Islamic playboy mansion in the sky
When I engage in a debate with anyone including muslims, I usually start the conversation asking what they know about Islam, which is very little to nothing.  You see, I’ve read the Quran, Hadith, and Sira so many times that sometimes I feel that I could be a better muslim (God forbid) than any muslim in the islamic world.
I tell them that Islam is not a “race”. It’s a set of beliefs/doctrines to which anyone can adhere. i.e. it’s not the people….it’s the software that’s running on their brains. If they agree to that premise, we can move on to the next step: Who began and developed this software? Muhammad, his words, his actions…as laid out in the Quran, Hadith, and Sira, which form the scriptural base for Shari’ah–Islam’s draconian civilizational control system.
With all the persecutions perpetrated on Christians and other faiths and religions (excluding islam/muslims because islam is not a faith or religion.  It’s a killing cult) and the Easter Sunday bombing of three churches in Sri Lanka, I’m waiting for our politicians to begin their usual defence of the Muslim community: “Not all Muslims are to blame. It’s only a minority of radicals who have perverted their religion.” And of course, everyone who understands Islam knows that’s simply bullshit! Instead our gutless politicians should be calling out Islam for its innate hatred of all non-Muslims and its commandments to “kill them wherever you find them.” (Surah At-Tawbah [9:5] - Al-Qur'an al-Kareem, etc).

For how long and how many times is the charade of denial going to play out?  Every leader of non-islamic countries are WHITEWASHING the hate-filled ESSENTIAL ISLAMIC TEACHINGS requiring hatred directed by Muslims against disbelieving kafirs to motivate the Muslims to make SUPREMACIST WARFARE against the disbelievers ‘IN THE CAUSE OF ALLAH’. They are NORMATIVE Islam, rather than an aberration.  The ’cause of Allah’ is to eradicate ‘WRONG WORSHIP’ from the earth by slaughtering and fining the kafirs. Muslims thus enrich themselves by seizing kafir property and exploiting the kafirs financially.

Hopefully, it’s enough to get them thinking and to move away from what they’re being sold by the MSM.  Once they figure out that Islam is a supremacist ideology that vilifies all non-believers, they’re on their way to waking up.  It is now more apparent that Muslim immigration should be stopped now, before any more jihadists infiltrate other countries.

And…. It’s not only stopping immigration but draconian steps also need to be taken to deal with islamic menace. History of the past do teach a lot – we can learn a lot from it.  Past history opens one’s eyes to how certain situations were dealt with.  Throughout history, we have seen times when governments have to impose some kind of martial law in order to deal with some menace. The communist emergency in Malaya comes to mind, the British forces were unable to deal with the communist insurgency using conventional means. The war was dragging on, taking a large toll on life, peace and order and the economy. Finally, with some brilliant tactics, they managed to defeat the communists. They had to suspend normal processes of the law, create Emergency rule with special powers for police, resettle the Chinese population into monitored villages called new villages to prevent the communists from getting supplies. When the press in London got wind of it, they created a fuss about human rights abuses etc, but the authorities stuck to their plan and finally the insurgency was contained and defeated. It took a lot of difficult measures like isolating the chinese population, creating units with special powers etc, moves which in today’s society would be frowned upon. But it was the only way in the end.

And that is what the West needs to do, if only it had the will and desire to do so. But if they are working to a certain agenda, then of course, we needn’t hold our breath for anything concrete to be done except for the arrests of people who speak out against islam.

5 CHICKEN MARINADE RECIPES

Chicken dinners in five flavors: Thai Coconut; Classic Italian; Provençal Herb; Mojo Citrus; and Teriyaki.

This no-fail, no-sweat method of marinating can even help you prepare a bunch of meals that will get you through the next few months: Make an assembly line of bagged chicken and marinade, and freeze according to the instructions below. When it comes time to defrost the chicken in the fridge, it's pre-marinated for your convenience, letting the marinade work its magic as both it and the meat thaw.

Each of the following marinades makes enough to coat 1 pound of chicken (about 2 large boneless, skinless breasts or thighs) in a 1-quart zip-top bag. Double the quantities for larger dinners and gatherings.

To make the marinades:

Place the chicken in a zip-top bag. Whisk the ingredients (listed below for each marinade) together in a bowl, then pour over the chicken. Seal the bag tightly, pressing the bag gently to remove as much excess air as possible.

Place the bag(s) on a rimmed baking sheet or plate just in case the bag isn't perfectly sealed.

If you'll be marinating the chicken to eat for dinner tonight or the following evening, simply refrigerate for up to 24 hours (no need to freeze).

Freeze on the baking sheet or plate until completely solid, then stack and store in the freezer for up to 3 months. Defrost the bag in the refrigerator up to 24 hours before you plan to cook and serve the chicken. For safe handling, do not thaw the bags at room temperature on the kitchen counter.

Instructions:

Once the marinated chicken is fully defrosted, cook it as you prefer:
1)    on the grill over direct heat for 7-10 minutes, flipping once or twice;
2)    on the stove in an oiled frying pan for 12-15 minutes, flipping as needed; or
3)    in a 375-degree F oven for about 20 minutes until the thickest part of the chicken registers 165 degrees F on a meat thermometer.

I CAN’T BE RACIST? BECAUSE MUSLIMS AREN’T A RACE.

Every time I openly criticize Islam, Islamic beliefs, Islamic jurisprudence, the Quran, the Hadiths and everything that is Islamic, I am slurred as a Racist and an Islamophobe.

First of, Islam is NOT a race.  Islam has nothing at all to do with genetics, nor is it an innate characteristic.  It is an ideology – a set of beliefs about individual behavior and the rules of society.  Hence, criticizing Islam is not racism.  There is no such thing as "anti-Muslim racism" any more than there is "anti-Christian racism," "anti-Liberal racism,"”anti-PC racism,” or "anti-Capitalist racism."

So why would anyone claim differently?  People generally choose their beliefs; they do not choose their race.  Therefore Muslims are not a race of people.  In fact, there are Muslims of all races.  Does a person change their race by adopting or leaving Islam?

It is because the battle over Islam is being fought in the West, the only arena in which it can still be critically debated.  It is also here that repugnance toward racism is strong and nearly universal.  From politics to illegal immigration, fear of the race card is one of the strongest influences on public policy.

At the same time, it is nearly impossible to defend Islam on its own merits in the West in free and open debate.  According to its own texts, the religion was founded in terror.  Its political and social code is deeply incompatible with liberal values.

Muslims societies usually rely on threat of violence to suppress both intellectual critique of Islam and the freedom of other religion to fairly compete, which would be a slow death.  Advocates in the West cling to the race card. If they can paint any criticism of their religion as "racism" then the massive evidence against Islam can be dismissed out of hand without having to contend with it.

Slinging the worst of all slurs to compensate for deficiency of fact and logic is weak enough, but it is ironic given that what is being defended in such cheap fashion is an ideology that is overtly supremacist in nature.  In fact, those Muslims who do want to rely on the race card are not thinking too far ahead.

And then I’m labeled as an Islamophobe.  So, let’s look at what “Islamophobe” really means.

In my dictionary, Islamophobe is a non-Muslim who knows more than they are supposed to know about Islam.

Islamophobia is an allegedly  irrational fear of losing life or liberty to Islamic rule merely because the laws, sacred texts, and traditional practices of Islam demand the submission of culture, politics, religion and all social expression.  It tends to afflict those most familiar with the religion while sparing the more gullible.

Unlike Infidelophobia (Quranically-inspired hatred and fear of non-Muslims - see Sura An-Nisa 4:101), Islamophobia rarely involves dead bodies.

The word "Islamophobia" literally means a fear of Islam, which is odd since Allah himself "throws terror into the hearts of disbelievers" (Sura Al-Anfal  8:12).  In contemporary use, it means any hint or suspicion that Islam is different from other religions.

 Islamophobes include:

Hindus, Christians, and Jews who don’t want to be forced into a political system that treats them as third-class citizens.  (Islamic teaching)

Atheists who want the freedom to live openly and challenge religious orthodoxy in the public sphere.  (Islamic teaching)

Women who don’t want to be draped in black bags.  (Islamic teaching)

Heterosexual males who prefer not to see women draped in black bags.  (Islamic teaching)

Wives who don't want to be beaten (Islamic teaching)

Drinkers (this one's  important).  (Islamic teaching)

Artists.  (Islamic teaching)

Historians who don’t want to see priceless manuscripts and books burned just because they disagree with the Quran.

Homosexuals who don’t want to be beaten to death.  (Islamic teaching)

Anyone else who believes that consenting adults should not be killed or tortured over sexual practices.  (Islamic teaching)

Dog lovers.  (Islamic teaching).

Animal Rights activists and anyone else who is opposed to the cruel and unethical treatment of animals.  (Islamic teaching)

Mothers who don’t want their daughters killed over a man’s “honor.”  (Islamic teaching)

Intellectuals who value freedom of conscience and public dissent.  (Islamic teaching)

Anyone believing that the value of a person's life is not determined by their religious beliefs.  (Islamic teaching)

Feminists who believe that women should not be made subordinate to men by a religion which openly insists that females are the intellectual and legal inferior of males.  (Islamic teaching)

Anyone else who objects to a religion in which a woman’s identity is defined by her relationship to a man.  (Islamic teaching)

Secularists who believe in the separation of government and religion.  (Islamic teaching)

The  left-handed (Islamic teaching).

Liberals who don’t believe that culture and moral values should be established by a state-sponsored religion.  (Get past the Religion Barrier)

Liberals who believe in preserving the Western heritage responsible for the civil freedom, political liberty and economic success which has attracted the flood of immigrants from Muslim nations, where such values are conspicuously lacking.  (Islamic teaching)

Muslims who would like the freedom to leave Islam.  (Islamic teaching)

So, if Muslims are a race because of Islam, then it means that Islam is a racial ideology. Therefore, what this ideology has to say about its own and other “races” becomes very important.

If Islam is a race, then Christianity and Judaism are races as well, meaning that if the Quran speaks of them as inferior, then it is a racist book.  In truth, the Quran does more than that.  In a stunning burst of religious bigotry, Muslims are ordered to fight Jews and Christians "until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued" (Sura At-Tawbah 9:29).  There is no basis in the text for bringing Jew and Christians under the heel of Islamic rule except by virtue of their religious status.

No other religion filters perception through group identity to the extent that Islam does.  Around the world Christians, Jews and other individuals are routinely brutalized merely because they are a member of a non-Muslim group, not because they have done anything to personally deserve having their lives taken, their children maimed or their property torched.  Meanwhile, other Muslims are generally indifferent to this violence and reserve their true outrage for circumstances involving Muslim victims of non-Muslim acts, however unintentional or relatively slight.

So, if Muslims are a race, Islam would not only be a racist ideology, but arguably the most hateful and destructive in history.

The reality is, there's a problem with Islam. Whether or not Islam is inherently a violent religion is up to the Imams' and their followers' interpretation of Islam (it's not up to the Liberals), but ultimately there are enough people with extremist views of Islam to create dozens of Islamic theocracies and to staff whole armies to make war on infidels. The crux of our position is that so-called moderate Muslims have been silent for too long. Mosques, Muslim foreign national leaders, Imams, etc., need to lead the charge in denouncing and de-funding these extremists and in ending persecution against non-Muslim religious minorities, gays, women, and Jews. Until I see Muslim people in the streets protesting terrorism, ISIS, Hamas, etc., I--we--will continue to criticize Islam for the savagery it endorses.
